The LA Times recently put out an article complaining and demanding that opponents of abortion stop using eugenics in their criticism. This is insane. Eugenics and abortion are inextricably linked from its foundation.
Margaret Sanger was eugenicist. She wanted to rid the world of racial minorities whom she called human weeds. That’s how it started and that’s how it operates today. Abortion is getting rid of the unwanted pregnancies, the unwanted babies.
If the pro-choice anti-life activists really want people to stop associating abortion with eugenics, then they should stop aborting all the down syndrome babies.
They are literally weeding out the babies because of a genetic deficiency. They’ve designated them as unwanted. That’s the reason they do genetic screenings for pregnant women, to see if the baby will have downs so they can kill her.
That’s the heart of what eugenics means, the holocaust of down syndrome people that’s happening all over the world. People are also aborting babies for many other physical handicaps or deformities. If the kid is going to have a hard life, kill him.
In the Freakonomics documentary there is a segment about abortion. The claim was that as abortion rates rose in some communities, crime rates fell. They were basically trying to make the argument that abortion was actually okay for society because it was mostly happening in poor and minority neighborhoods where a child would have a hard and disadvantaged life.
All these babies would be born and grow up to be criminals and steal your car so just kill them. Again, this is eugenics. Getting rid of the unwanted and less worthy. As the Nazis called it, “life unworthy of life.”
You cannot remove eugenics from abortion. It’s literally what it’s all about.
